Press more interested in discussing women's issues

A report by Media Observatory of the National Council for Women in Egypt for the press dealt with women's issues by 47.7% and television by 37%, while the limited women's programs on the radio to 15.3%.

Dr Inas Abu Saif Executive Director of the Observatory project, as quoted by the newspaper "Al Ahram" Egyptian, that monitoring was during a period of 7 months of last year and was the highest of the press and media outlets covered the contentious issues of women increased by64.5%, while covered by television 30% and the proportion in which the radio up to 5.5%.

The National Council for Women had organized a seminar entitled "Towards a strategic vision to activate the role of media in supporting women's rights" to discuss the ninth report of theObservatory of the media, and noted Dr. Hassan Secretary General of the Council's belief in therole of media in forming public opinion
and composition.
